Company History

OnlineNW (formerly OnlineMac),   Yamhill County's largest locally owned Internet provider has been offering voice and data services to business and residential customers since 1995. Services include: dial-up Internet, high-speed wireless, DSL, web design, hosting, business telephone services, T-1's and co-location.  The name change was in response to our expanded service base, which now extends to surrounding counties and even across the country.   Patrick Fuchs, President, is co-owner of the company with partners Jeb Bladine, Vice President, and Guy Everingham.

Patrick Fuchs started as Spessart Internet in the early 90s as a way of offsetting the cost of bringing dedicated Internet service to his home-based software development business.  Over the next year or so the business grew to 30 lines, at which point it became too large to do as a part time interest. Patrick then got together with (News-Register publisher) Jeb Bladine as the News-Register was looking at making some commitment to the Internet. They found they had like goals and complimentary needs, and together they formed OnlineMac.

Growth has occurred through expanded service offerings and mergers and acquisitions with two other former local Internet Providers, Moss Communications (Macnet) in 1999 and Viclink in 2005.  Also, in 2000, OnlineMac joined forces with Integra Telecom to begin offering an array of telephone services to McMinnville business customers.  Integra Telecom is a phone company based in Portland with a very aggressive growth pattern.  Integra entered the McMinnville market where for years Verizon has been the area's sole choice for local phone service.  OnlineMac's affiliation with Integra is designed to allow business customers to order tailor-made packages of communications services through a local provider.

In 2003, OnlineNW launched a wireless network providing broadband Internet to customers beyond the reach of cable and DSL. That network has grown to cover more than 2500 square miles and is now available in four counties. The fixed wireless service provides high-speed Internet from a transmitter location to an antenna at the customer's home or business. The modem connects to a computer or network like a cable or DSL modem connects.

Customers within DSL and cable range are also choosing wireless broadband. By moving their home numbers to a cell phone and canceling their phone line, customers are able to switch to high-speed wireless and pay close to what they paid for dial-up services. For more information call us:
